Setup Tip
We suggest having an extra set of hands when setting up the canopy — it makes things much easier. One person lifts a side while the other pushes the center button. Watch the setup video ↗ before your beach day so you’re ready to go.

Born on the Westside

Because the beach is supposed to be relaxing, and dragging gear across hot sand isn't.

Santa Cruz Cabana Company was founded in 2021 by Laura Persson on one idea: you shouldn't have to work hard to relax. Today it's run by Adrian Pendergast, a Westside Santa Cruz native who knows this coastline the way most people know their own neighborhood.

We handle every detail โ€” the gear, the delivery, the pickup โ€” so you can spend your whole day actually enjoying the beach.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you deliver the gear or do we pick it up?

We deliver. We meet you curbside at your chosen beach with all your gear packed in a wagon. At the end of your rental, we come back and pick everything up.

How does delivery work?

We meet you at a designated spot near the beach (parking lot, entrance, etc.) at your scheduled time. We hand off all the gear in a collapsible beach wagon and you roll it to your spot. When your window ends, pack it back in the wagon and we come grab it.

What beaches do you deliver to?

Most beaches in the Santa Cruz area. If you are not sure about your spot, text us and we will let you know.

What are delivery hours?

Deliveries start at 9:00 AM and our last pickup is at sunset. Need an early start or late pickup? Contact us and we will work something out.

How far in advance do I need to book?

We require at least 24 hours notice for all bookings. We are not able to accommodate same-day requests.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations or reschedules must be made at least 24 hours before your scheduled rental. Cancellations made after that window are not eligible for a refund.

What if the weather is bad?

If conditions are not safe for a beach day, we will work with you to reschedule at no extra charge. Text us the morning of if you are unsure.

What about large groups or events?

We love group bookings. Birthday parties, reunions, corporate outings. Contact us for a custom quote.
